At Light for Life Disability and Nursing Services, we focus on helping our clients to develop and enhance the domestic skills necessary for independent and autonomous living. Whether residing in shared living arrangements such as units or with host families, our qualified staff provide assistance and supervision, supporting clients in completing their daily tasks and empowering them to live as independently as possible.
Our services include:
- One-on-one support from a dedicated carer
- Assistance with daily living tasks to foster independence
- Support for self-care, accommodation, and activities within a residential setting
- Help with budgeting, bill payments, and completing necessary forms
- Assistance in building social skills and strengthening family ties
- Provision of temporary or transitional accommodation along with hands-on help with domestic tasks
- Assistance with resolving disputes and maintaining overall health and well-being
- Training in self-sufficiency, such as meal preparation and getting ready for the day
- Support with personal activities and organizing household tasks
- Guidance in planning and preparing nutritious meals
- Assistance in participating in community activities
- Life skills training to build independence
- Support with medication management and administration.
